Preparing the Turkey

How are you going to prepare your turkey this year? You should give some thought to a deep fry turkey especially if you’re hosting a large crowd. Get a turkey fryer, about 3 gallons of peanut oil and as many turkeys as you want. We believe that 15 lbs is the optimum size turkey for the fryer and they cook up in about 45-55 minutes. It’s just a great tasting turkey. The hot oil sears in the flavor and you’ll have one of the best tasting turkeys that can be prepared. They are awesome. We realize that some people want that oven cooked turkey as well and may be looking for a roast turkey recipe. It’s definitely more traditional and many people love the turkey gravy. When we deep fry the turkey, we use the giblets and neck, boil them and use the broth for the turkey gravy. Some of the turkeys we inject with some turkey broth and some we inject with a special fried turkey injection recipe. There are several great recipes out there; just find one that suits you and have fun with it.
